This was a huge surprise to wake up to this morning. Guild Wars 2 Mac Beta is now available, and ArenaNet has made it clear they are huge Mac fans with their announcement. It’s available now for anybody who purchased/purchases Guild Wars 2.

Apple Announces the iPhone 5, New iPod Touch – What Does That Mean for Mac Gamers?
So Apple is calling the iPhone 5 “The biggest thing to happen to iPhone since iPhone.” Like, hate, or ignore Apple’s iOS devices, they have had a tremendous impact on mobile phones, and I feel their impact on mobile gaming has yet to be truly felt.
Steam Greenlight – Half of First 10 – Mac Versions
Steam Greenlight was announced by Valve in July as a way for gamers to support games that they wanted added to Steam. It went live a few weeks ago, and the first ten titles have been announced.
Torchlight II – September 20, 2012 for PC, Mac to Follow
Earlier today, the announcement was made. The trailer is above, and statement is below:
Torchlight II will launch as a digital download from Runic Games, Steam, Perfect World, GamersGate, GameFly, and GameStop on September 20th, 2012.
Runic Games’ CEO, Max Schaefer comments, “We worked incredibly hard to make sure we could release Torchlight II before Summer’s official end. Development will continue right up until we ship, and we couldn’t be happier to be putting the finishing touches on a great game. We want to get it to the fans as quickly as possible. Honestly, we can’t wait.”
As mentioned before, the Mac OS X version of Torchlight II will follow the PC launch, according to the support site.

Rovio’s Angry Birds Follow-Up – Amazing Alex
The follow-up to Rovio’s Angry Birds has been announced, via Finnish website Yle. It’s called “Amazing Alex”, and it’s based on the Casey’s Contraptions games, which Rovio recently purchased, and will be out in two months. Like Angry Birds, it’ll be a puzzle/strategy game, and like Angry Birds, there will probably be a Mac OS X version of Amazing Alex.
