Mac OS X 10.7.4 Released Yesterday

Mac OS X 10.7.4 (Lion) was released yesterday by Apple. Even if you aren’t a Mac gamer, you should grab this update anyways, since it contains security fixes/updates, and updated Safari, and for those in Great Britain, it improves the compatibility with certain third-party British USB keyboards. A lot of gamers use other keyboards – this might fix a few issues they are having.

PC Gamer Takes a Look at Salem

PC Gamer has posted a brief preview of Salem, an upcoming massively multiplayer online (MMO) roleplaying gaming set in New England in the 1600s. It’s billed as a “Free to Play” open-world or “sandbox” style MMORPG, which happens to be my favorite kind, and it runs on Macs, PCs, and Linux (no idea of browser-based or native).

Blizzard is Preparing for Diablo III Launch

We are just a week away from the Diablo III launch, and Blizzard is preparing in several ways. In addition to setting up Midnight Launch Events, they are preparing players and telling them what they need to know, such as regional launch times, BattleTag information, and providing pre-sale download and early install times.

The Elder Scrolls Online for Mac (and PC) – 2013

The Elder Scrolls Online may not be a World of Warcraft killer (is anything?), but like World of Warcraft, there will be a Mac version of the game. Mac gamers rejoice! We may not have Mac-native version of the other single-player Elder Scrolls RPG games from Bethesday, but we’ll have ESO in 2013.
