By now you know about Diablo III’s Open Beta this weekend. I want to talk about my impressions.
This morning, being a Saturday morning, I was not surprised at all when the Diablo 3 servers were at full capacity for a few hours – this is a stress test after all. I was able finally able to login this afternoon, and I was playing the game within 5 minutes of logging into Battle.net.
A two and a half minute opening cinematic video has been posted for Torchlight II. It’s not gameplay, but it’s cool to watch nonetheless, and is meant to fill in backstory that was missing from the first Torchlight game, and action/adventure/roleplaying game for both Macs and PCs.
Do you have a valid Battle.net account? Then Blizzard wants you to participate in the open beta of Diablo III this coming weekend, as a stress test of their systems. You can begin playing Diablo III starting at 12:01 pm (Pacfic – 2:01 pm Eastern) Friday, April 20, through 10:00 am (Pacific – 12:00 pm Eastern) Monday, April 23. You’ll need to use an existing Battle.net account or create new one.
The 2012 World of Warcraft Arena Pass registration is now open. As mentioned previously, if you sign up and participate, you will receive exclusive access to a Mists of Pandaria level-90 Arena Pass realm if you upgrade to Mists of Pandaria.
Yesterday, Blizzard announced that the 2012 World of Warcraft Arena Pass will be available for sign-up on April 10th. Those players who sign up will have access to special realms with level-85 templates and gear.
Feral Interactive has released a OS X version of BioShock 2 for download through Apple’s Mac App Store and Amazon.com for $30.99. The horror-themed First Person Shooter (FPS) requires OS X 10.7.2 and rather hefty hardware requirements.
