The Arx Libertatis project has released it’s first open-source version of Arx Fatalis, a first-person RPG. A copy of the original Arx Fatalis game is needed. While Mac OS X binaries are not available (at this time), there are comprehensive instructions provided for compiling it, and it has been successfully tested and run under Mac OS X.

It was just a few days ago when we first heard a few details of N.O.V.A. 3, and now a lot more information is coming out about, including a timeline and characters that are involved. On the Gameloft blog, there appears to be a screenshot of a co-op map.
Apple Announces Worldwide Developers Conference
The Apple Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) 2012 is slated for June 11 – 15, 2012. As stated by the name, it’s focused on developers, and gives them a look at iOS and OS X developments (OS X – not Mac OS X). It also gives them access to Apple engineers. Games are one of the focuses.
Gameloft Reveals N.O.V.A. 3
Gameloft has given us a brief look at their upcoming sci-fi First Person Shooter (FPS) N.O.V.A 3 via a YouTube video and an in-character news story. Now while a Mac port was not specifically mentioned, The fact that N.O.V.A. 2 is in the Mac App Store gives me hope.
BioShock 1.1.1 Update
Feral Interactive has updated the classic horror-themed First Person Shooter BioShock to version 1.1.1, with stability improvements and additional game controller support. It should be noted that this is the first update to the Mac App Store version of the FPS since it was released in January of 2011.
Quake 4 Available on Mac App Store
Aspyr’s port of id’s Quake 4 is now available on Apple’s Mac App Store for $19.99 (US). The popular First Person Shooter (FPS) does support cross-platform play between Mac and Windows users.
